The Age recently did a series on Melbourne’s public transport woes. Good on em.
A couple of times while in Cheltenham on a weekend I have been asked by people where to catch a bus to DFO’s at Moorabbin Airport.
Poor fools. On a weekday, there is a bus every 20 minutes up until 6.30pm, but on Saturday there there is only one bus an hour. On a Sunday there are no buses AT ALL.
The bus routes 826, 827 and 828 - between Hampton and Pakenham - cover not only DFO but are crucial routes for Dingley, Keysborough (including Parkmore SC) and about a dozen other suburbs. That they only run until 6.30pm on weekdays, and almost never on weekends, is a disgrace.
