Ever wanted to attach a camera to your cat and set it loose just to see where it went? You aren’t the only one. J. Perthold did just that and has put the resulting photos up for the whole world to see. You can also view technical details and instructions to create your own Cat Cam.

This reminds me of a great episode of John Safran’s ‘Music Jamboree’. In order to get his point across that music video directors get paid way too much, he attaches a video recorder to his dogs back, hits record, and lets it loose. Then he makes a techno song on some free software he got a hold of, put the footage and the audio together and named himself some techno sounding name, and sent the tape in to ABC’s music video program ‘Rage’ in the required format. They played it inbetween two regular music videos. Classic.

Good stuff - love it when we can get a camera around a cat’s neck. Won’t be long before we are strapping them to microbes and stuffing them in our gullet to see where they go (cameras I mean, not cats - they make me gag with all their fur).

benjamin, I do remember that episode and it was a classic. Unfortunately noone’s put it on YouTube, so far as I can tell.
Molk, that is so eewwww. Closeups of stomach lining and intestines, that’s all we need; but haven’t we seen that already in various documentaries?
What we haven’t already seen, I’d rather not see, thanks very much :p
