I met my sister and parents recently and we did a tour of Albury, Beechworth and the surrounding areas. This mainly involved a lot of eating and drinking, including, but not limited to, five types of wine and four varieties of beer, plus coffee to excess.
The coffee highlight was definitely the Electra Cafe in Albury. You can see why:

My dad was particularly impressed.

Latte art is highly gorgeous to look at. Sometimes, in rare cases where the art is SO good, I don’t want to ruin it. I’ve worked with coffee for a while, and while I tried, studied, and tried some more, I cannot get the entire latte art exercise down. I know how to do it, I just can’t execute it as well as I’d like to be able to. This is definitely beautiful, though, latte art is amazing.

hey, I’m actually originally from Albury -Wodonga (should have said Albury/Wodonga, you’ve upset all the Victorian side now :-))
Electra Cafe does have lovely coffee, congratulations on finding one of Albury’s nicer coffee places!

Starbucks doesn’t deserve a mention in a post like this.
I’m a big fan of latte art. It looks cool, plus it shows that the cafe takes its coffee seriously.
Jessamy, yes perhaps I should have mentioned Wodonga, but never mind!

hehe part of the main fun of traveling is experiencing the food and culture. Awesome that you could enjoy this time with your Dad…not quite sure what his expression is though in that picture

I don’t get tacky, I think nice looking girls serving me coffee while wearing bikinis is priceless . (Does it reflect on how much the coffee cost?)
Lattes are a beautiful cup of coffee. Very appealing!
