Ideas for a 30th birthday bash?

This will be a short post.

My twenties are drawing to a close, and my 30th birthday approacheth. As I watch my youth fade away, I realise that I ought to have a 30th birthday party, but have no ideas on what to do to commemorate this occasion.

So, dear reader, it’s over to you. How should I celebrate my 30th?

Make it a memory to last a lifetime! Each decade it is nice to do something extra special for yourself. Something that when you look back it represents who you were at the time. For my husbands 40th birthday I arranged for him to drive a race car. He was thrilled with the gift and now he has a special and exciting memory of turning 40. So, although I have not given any specifics as to an idea, I hope this is still helpful.

Each decade?? I haven’t quite lived enough decades to see things that way. When I’m 40, I’m sure that will change! But of course, it is an event worth celebrating. I like what you say about having it represent who you are at the time.

Have a big party. Hire a cover band. There are a lot of great tribute bands out there that perform like the real artists like Heart, Pat Benatar, Oingo Boingo and others. Have a barbecue going while people enjoy the bands play.
